Who Funds Living Through Loss Counselling?
The United Way provides partial funding. Private Donations, Corporate Sponsors, Society Members and fees provide the balance. We are able to offer individual counselling at a reduced rate of $95/hr because of our partial funding.
We have dedicated a page on our site to people and organizations that have contributed to LTLC either through their time, resources or funding. Please see the Thank You page for details.

Counsellors:
Our staff consists of Registered Clinical Counsellors and Registered Social Workers who are certified grief counsellors with a wide range of experience in helping others. The model used by the agency is Reality Therapy, which is proven effective to assist in regaining control while you deal with traumatic life changes.
These groups require registration and run for 6 or 8 weeks depending upon the group.
6 Week Loss Through Death – for those people who have experienced a loss through death.
Bereavement Training for Professionals – for therapists who want to explore bereavement issues related to their clients, including bereavement basics, suicide, homicide, cultural perspectives, and multiple losses.
Referrals are from other agencies and/or community professionals and self-referral.
